Winterbourne United secured back-to-back Bristol Combination League Cup titles with a dramatic victory over Hallen Reserves at Mangotsfield United’s home ground, Cossham Street, in front of a crowd of 357. The final ended in an exciting 2-2 draw, with James Maidstone and Jordan Yeo finding the net for Winterbourne, while Archie Parry scored twice for Hallen Reserves. With neither side able to find a winner, the game went to penalties. Winterbourne held their nerve from the spot, converting four penalties to Hallen’s two, sealing a 4-2 shootout victory and successfully defending their crown.
