DRG Frenchay

PREMIER DIVISION

DRG Frenchay F.C. was founded in 1962 as RWP AFC by workers from the Robinsons Waxed Paper factory in Fishponds. The club started in the Church of England League before moving into the Bristol & District League and working its way up through the divisions. In 1966, the club moved to its home ground at Carson’s Road, and in 1976/77 it earned a place in the Avon Premier Division 2. Over the years, the club went through several name changes, including DRG Stapleton, before becoming DRG Frenchay in 2012. The club now competes in the Bristol Premier Combination League.
